Description This one is from my Garnet series

Storyline:
Press-cutting:
“On the 13th of March at 13.13 not far from the Earth a gravitational anomaly was detected. Light flashes in the sky and noises in the air accompanied it . Approximately after an hour it stabilized and a portal appeared”.
“All attempts to study it with automated probes showed no results. There was no connection with them after they were entering the portal”
“After almost a year it was decided to send through a portal a piloted ship. A crew of 13 specialists was selected. Their aim was to study what’s on the other side, how and why it appeared and then return home”.
“On the 4th of August at 00.00 the connection with the ship was lost….it entered the Portal…”

do you hand draw your planets?? because in some of your comments you have said you "create" some of your planets? so if its not photo manip then what ? drawn? program? painted?

Well, I create textures and then put them on a sphere in 3ds. Some textures are photomanips from photos of concrete, cork and paint, some are NASA photos and some are painted.
I use mainly photoshop cs3 and sometimes 3d Studio Max to put a texture on a sphere and to work out some models.

Oh? Did I forget to close it? Oops. Well it is a real shame that a ship was sent into the portal, I am afraid that I used it to destroy unwanted material; the portal was co-ordinated to offset at the centre of a large star.

Nice and minimal, gets the concept and story across nicely - Gaia looks good, the moon is a little jagged on the edges though. Portal suits well with the harsh minimalism of the backdrop.. However, I don't think real space from our vantage point would be sparse unless you were using some sort of camera, I mean, you can see many stars at night underneath the planets atmosphere, which blocks out some of the light.

Damn, it's hard to understand you!
Ok, first off - thanks!
About the stars I thought "what the hell?! This is an illustration and not a real photo", so I added some stars just to light up the picture a bit cause you've said it is minimalistic
About the moon...how do u like my megapolis?

P.S. Oh, and they won't die THAT easy

Haha, I shall give you an interstellar translator! Catalogueing billions of languages each day!

And good work.

Oh? Oh I suppose their ship uses the finest in new synthetic-metal substances, in that case, they should die of starvation lost in seering gas.
