I am not sure what you were actually trying to achieve, but I love frames. There are so many cool things you can do with them. I like it just like it is. And you know, if you post them, I have to play with the parameters. Love your work!
I pasted them into my program, and one thing I usually do with masking, is put a layer with whatever I am masking on normal setting at the bottom. You had the texture layer on overlay, and the frame layer on luminance. But when you change the frame layer to normal the green color goes away. I not sure how to fix it to what you want. I will play around and share my parameters. I can't wait to play.

I'm not sure what my problem is. Some of my textures just don't show up when rendered. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out why!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Love your work too

Is the problem you've experienced the fact that the frame has picked up the pattern within the main image itself? Did you want that? (It does look nice that way btw). It will undoubtedly be because you have set the frame textures to overlay. If you wanted the frame to only have a rough appearance without the underlying pattern then you'd need to put its texture onto a property that doesn't pick up anything from underneath it (normal usually). I'm not sure what you're actually trying to achieve?

I like it as it is; what render setting did you use?

Kind of what you were saying Anna. Whilst open in UF the frame shows the cross hatch texture more than the background coloured texture. In fact I had to set all the textures to 100% to get anything to show up well when rendered. Tried various anti-aliasing settings during the various attempts but settled for normal as I couldn't see much change. Anyway I figured I'd stick with it in the end but I did think it showed the fractal off more with the frame only showing the cross hatch effect. I'm glad you liked it, Something different from my usual stuff but I like experimenting.
