The effect on the runes is amazing. I also like how you painted the armour.

Love the glow-y effect on the runes. The NMM is amazing as well!

IRL, the NMM on the Librarian is distinctly meh. However, I'm now painting the cybernetic flying death baby that came with the Librarian (as a separate project), and I'm *nailing* the NMM on that: www.facebook.com/precinctomega…

I would have to agree that the NMM on the cherub looks even better, very professional. It´s a technique I´ve avoided so far myself, but it does look fun to experiment with.

It's great for one-off projects or small groups, like Infinity armies. I wouldn't want to paint a whole Great Knights army like this, though.

This one looks really good (but i don´t like librarians ^^ )
What is your way to paint the robe he has on?

The robe was painted up from VMC English Uniform to VMC Desert Yellow, followed by a wash of Citadel Gryphonne Sepia (now Seraphim Sepia), followed by highlights of VMC Tan Yellow mixed with VMC Flat Yellow. Final highlights of the last mix plus Citadel Ceramite White.

That is a wide range i would have to use for it ^^
I can see that you use both VMC and Citadel colors. Isn´t it easier to stick with one system? Or can they really exist side by side and maybe even enhance the other range?

All good miniatures painting acrylic ranges are complimentary. Indeed, even oils can be used alongside acrylics in their particular places. I wouldn't usually take such an elaborate approach, but I used my airbrush on the initial stages before the whole thing went horribly wrong, so I finished it off with a conventional brush. I use VMC, VGC, Army Painter, Citadel and Tamiya paints among others. Usually, I have a particular shade in mind that I need and I look for the range that most closely matches it at the best price. But I do tend to favour the Citadel paints for some colours, as their consistency is just right, even if the price isn't. Oh, I also use emulsion paints for some large scale work like terrain and gaming boards.

This is an awesome paintjob. Just fantastic. I hope to get at this level one day myself.

I'm starting to do YouTube tutorials. I had planned to do a step-by-step painting report on this chap, but the airbrushing went so horribly badly that in the end I gave up and just made it a general review of the model. Should be posted in a day or two. www.youtube.com/channel/UCMF1m…
