If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, you might find this interesting. This is the interior of The Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221b Baker Street, London. Of course, Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character and 221b Baker Street never existed, but according to their website, the house was last used as a lodging house in 1936 and the famous 1st floor study overlooking Baker Street is still faithfully maintained as it was kept in Victorian Times.Here's a picture of the interior of the 2nd floor study.

Really? I read that in reality the building numbers didnt even extend that far in the time of Conan doyle writing the stories (the largest being 100) and that later in the 1930's, when the numbers were changed and the street extended and such, there appeared a '221', and this room was created to represent the victorian 221B cos people kept writing to the address looking for Mr Holmes lol....

That's true. Conan Doyle created a fictious address so that people wouldn't go bothering some poor soul looking for Sherlock Holmes.

I never saw Rupert Everett play Sherlock, but I love his other work. The best Sherlock I ever saw was Jeremy Brett.

London is defently the place for me. I am so old fashioned. I should have been born years ago. This is very beautiful to see, thank you for sharing more lovely photo's of london... i am all ways interested in seeing such things.

It is defently the place to live. And i have never been there lol. There must be something in my blood to want to live there so baddly. I love everything about it, that is the way to live.
