- Onett and Joel met in the army, Onett already had 2 years there, and Joel was amateur, and although at first time Onett was treating Joel as a simple beginner, but this change after a mission in which Joel saved Onett's live; Since that day Onett and Joel became good friends and supported each to the other.
After Joel go out with the stars warriors, Onett was in charge of the kingdom and had to raise her son joe alone. When a messenger told that her husband was killed by a star warrior, she's not told the kingdom and her son who had murdered Joel, because it would be too painful tell the true to her little son.
when joe grew it was decided to find out who killed his father, after the continued insistence of Joe to his mother, she told him that his father had been killed by a star warrior.
After the imminent defeat of nightmare Joel returned along with meta knight to the kingdom to tell his mother what had really happened with Joel.
