Shenron from DBZ. I haven't drawn a dragon in a while. I know why now, it's the scales. I really like how this turned out though. Took a while, but I think it was worth it. Critique is appreciated.Related content

this is a realy cool pick of shenron,with a lot of fine detail..
shenron is totaly badass...i dont know much about DBZ but when i was little i whould watch with my brothers (who where die hard DBZ fans) just so see him appear.

I think they call him Shenlong in the manga, but in the anime they call him Shenron.

Only critique: the angle of the back 'antler' seems wrong. It should be more horizontal and closer to the front antler imo.

Wowzers, I think this looks absolutely gorgeous! It looks almost like a painting done with colored pencils and really majestic. I especially like the job you've done with the shading here. The bits around the border kind of throw it off, though, and the outline around the snout looks a little strange. This is probably one of the best pieces of fanart I've seen of Shenlong, though. *claps* Insta-fave.

From what I've seen, it's mostly athletic guys who seem to be into both Pokemon and DBZ. Some weird trend I noticed around my school.

Love it! One thing I always thought was that Shenron was a bit too cartoony for my taste (even more so than the other characters). Here you've made him more lifelike and I really like you've done!

Oh wow. I like how you've done the scale definition realistically, like a snake or lizard. My only nitpick is that the horns are a little different (on the lower branch, there should be another smaller branch). Aside from that minor detail though, this is one of the best depictions of Shenron that I've seen.
