Another extemporary project. Alas, I did assemble the model back when I got it and I didn0t have any debonding product available (I think I should get one) so I had to improvise a bit.

Back then I didn't do a very good job at cleaning the miniature and I noticed a huge mould line on the axe's handle after I startet to paint it. Luckily I'm getting good at restorations and on the fly cleaning of mould lines, so no biggie.

The figurine itself is not that great and I remember buying it just because it was a limited release. At least it wasn't very difficult to paint and I kept experimenting with Vallejo Shifters.

The best way to use Shifters on the miniatures is to paint with metallics adding highlights with silver and shadows with black and then apply a thin layer of the desired Shifter. It's not how the colours are supposed to be used (they need a gloss black flat base), but it' more effective. I used this method on the blade, while the armour was painted applying the colour on the black undercoat.

Vallejo Shifters used:

Armour: Green Blue Violet, Turquoise Violet, Gold Yellow Burnt Orange.

Axe's head: Old Silver Pale Violet, Gold Yellow Burnt Orange.

Power rod: Old Gold Grey Violet, Gold Yellow Burnt Orange.

Citadel Colours used:

Armour: Stormhost Silver.

Trims and decorations: Iron Hands Steel, Drakenhof Nightshade, Runefang Steel, Stormhost Silver, Aethermatic Blue.

Power rod: Balthasar Gold, Cryptek Armourshade Gloss, Retributor Armour, Stormhost Silver.

Loincloth and plume: Lupercal Green, Kabalite Green, Sotek Green, Temple Guard Blue, Baharroth Blue, Blue Horror, White Scar, Aethermatic Blue.

Holster and leather bits: Mournfang Brown, Agrax Earthshade, Skrag Brown, Deathclaw Brown, Bestigor Flesh.

Cables and joints: Abaddon Black, Skavenblight Dinge, Stormvermin Fur, Karak Stone.
