Personality:
Lami tends to take a studious and meticulous approach to things. If she has her mind set on doing something, she is going to use every resource available to her to get it done right. Lami isn't shy but she assumes that people will find her boring so she usually keeps her taking to a minimum when first meeting someone. Her speech is often slow, as if she isn't sure if she should be bothering to talk at all. Even if she is a bit quiet, Lami is very observant of the people she is interacting with. Nervous ticks and other unconscious habits are rarely missed. The exception is when she is at work, especially if she is analyzing her crops or native growing plants around the island. Lami drowns everything out at times like this. If someone tries to talk to her at when she gets like that she'll tend to just go "Uh-huh" and keep working. Keep pestering her and she'll start getting snippy with you. Secretly, she'd be happy to know that someone is that interested in getting her attention.

History:
Lamella grew up surrounded by plants. Both of her parents were breloom. Her mother had a career as a florist and her father, a botanist. As a child she eagerly learned as much as she could about each of her parents professions. As the shroomish got older though, there was one element of both that began to bug her: The level of practicality. Knowing how to raise and arrange pretty flowers was all and and good, but what happens after they are cut, wrapped, and handed off? The bouquet makes someone smile for a few minutes and then it gets set aside to wither and die over the next few days, taking all the hard work it it. Lamella didn't so much have an issue with botany itself, but how her father approached it. He would study and examine plants, and occasionally conduct small experiments. He would discuss his research with other botanists, but it always seemed like he never personally did anything with his findings. His data would always supposedly go on to someone else for them to use.

What Lamella wanted was to see the knowledge and skills with plants applied. She want to she first hand, the efforts resulting in something useful. This is what lead to her turning her interests and focus to edible plants when she was a preteen. Fruit, vegetables, berries, herbs, any seeds she could get a hold of she would try to grow in her family's backyard. The results were pretty pityful at first, but through trial and error she would take notes as she studied her garden with the same scrutiny her father applied to his research. Lamella learned quickly. By her late teens she proved to have become quite the capable gardener and had even gained some cooking skills from trying out different recipes for her plants. She still wasn't satisfied with her skills though. Lamella wanted to turn her hobby into a career. To her father's disappointment she used her college fund to buy a plot of land in a forest clearing on Mystery Isle. It was here that she started her own farm.

Lamella's nickname is Lami, but she doesn't care which name people use......unless you bring up that she's named after the anatomy of a mushroom, then she'll insist you call her Lami out of embarrassment.
Lami often carries around either a notepad or sketchbook to take notes on the plants on the island, be them wild, her own, or a rival farmers.
Likes dark, wooded places. She is a mushroom after all~
If her effect spore ability triggers from being hurt or surprised the spores will fly out of her hair.
