im trying to think of something to say, but .. just wow.
haha this is going to sound really weird, but when i look at this piece of art, my mind plays this one radiohead song over and over. when i look at it, i keep picturing myself falling into a warm ocean and just sinking while watching the sun on the surface of the water.

I remember the first time i saw this i really liked it, the texture work and the way that you were playing with light - the black/white areas.

Niteangel - It is called "The Flowering" because it is portrayed to be the beginning of the cycle of life, hence "The Flowering." I used the common cycle of a flower blooming and such to convey what I was getting at. Understand? It's the stage after the seeds of life are planted, it begins.

Basically formed around some ideals I've been having lately. Due to a lot of Nietsche's writings, I've been thinking about life being merely a cycle that keeps repeating itself in different places at different times, with different people. It is all one big cycle. Look at this piece as the moment after death. The beginning of the reoccuring cycle.. The Flowering begins again.
