Description: The Macroeuphractus is an extinct genus of Armadillos that lived from the Late Miocene to the Late Pliocene Epochs in South America.  Not much is known about this animal, as there are very little fossils found, but we have been able to find a few skulls of the Macroeuphractus that tell us a majority of how the animal lived.  Even though we don't have a full skeleton, we can estimate that the Macroeuphractus was the largest of the subfamily Euphractinae, a subfamily that branched off from the Glyptodonts and Pampatheres.  But what makes the Macroeuphractus unique is its diet, unlike the omnivorous Armadillos living today, the Macroeuphractus has been defined as a "Killer Armadillo", its jaws alone showed perfect evidence that this Armadillo was best suited for a hypercarnivorous lifestyle, including large, conical canine teeth, powerful anterior teeth, highly developed musculature around the jaws, and other features that would have made it an efficient hunter.  With this predatory niche, it helped make the Macroeuphractus very common across South America during its time on Earth, playing the same role in each ecosystem it thrived in.  During this time, some of the larger predators, like Sparassodonts, Phorusrhachids, and Sebecids were beginning to go on the brink of extinction, which allowed the Macroeuphractus and several other mammals to take advantage of the niche vacancy, but it still had to compete with creatures like the giant Opossum, Thylothorops, and it still was competing with some of the late surviving predators, like Thylacosmilus and Llallawavis, until new carnivorans migrated from North America to South America at the beginning of the Pleistocene Epoch.

Personal Thoughts: I have never heard of this extinct killer Armadillo until reviewing this mod, it's amazing to think how much ancient Armadillos had diversified to fill different niches in their habitats.  I especially love how this one is represented in the game, even the predatory teeth are visible in its mouth.  I highly recommend having this in a prehistoric zoo with the other prehistoric Armadillos in the same mod, and with the Doedicurus remake made by Lgcfm and Ulquiorra.  This animal in the game has no bugs or glitches, the modeling and textures are super realistic, and it can breed properly in the game.  It is absolutely perfect for a prehistoric zoo.
