Description Modern parasol frame stripped of its fabric and recovered in black and white pinstriped silk. Getting this very fluid silk to match up nicely at the striped was a bit of a pain, but I love the result. I like how the edge flops softly over the end of the ribs - again not my invention, many Victorian parasols did this. Little lace ruffle to cover the tip, also commonly used for the late Victorian style. The black and white wooden handle is antique or at least vintage, exact age unknown. Anyhow, I think it compliments the fabric nicely, and gives the parasol nicer proportions by adding length to the stem.
