It's been so long since I played in the rain, so today I just couldn't resist
My hair is totally paying for it, the humidity turned it into one huge fluff ball, but whatever, I can always throw it up into a bun at work if I need to. I thought it was raining enough I'd need my umbrella, but it wasn't really, and the trees were catching what little rain was falling, so I only got wet on my feet really 
But I already had the umbrella out, so I thought I'd have some fun with it. Always nice to use a new prop 
My arm is kinda awkward here, but you try leaning over backward, on your toes, with an umbrella in one hand, and see what your other arm looks like 
The colors didn't come out like I expected them to, but I was able to salvage that by going with a gradient map that really pulled out the contrasts... Of course in doing that I totally overexposed my face, but whatever, I kept coming back to this shot (I have a few others I may post later, we'll see) and I just liked the pose and the framing...

Any innocence we can save as we grow older is worth protecting, I'd say. You do a good job of that here.
I actually quite like the contrast here, along with the framing, and the pose is wonderful and so you. I like the way your other arm is situated here, held out straight as a counterpoint to the one bent and holding the umbrella. Makes you look quite graceful.

I like the high contrast in this photo and great pose. Hmm..either your body is reacting to the rain hitting you or you just got shot in the back..a question to ponder hehe. So is there a story behind the title?

This is great. Are you doing a self portrait a day? Cool. I don't have a camera with a timer (and my boyfriend amateur photographer isn't always in town.... and prefers taking pictures of nature.... lol) or I'd do some.

hehe self portraits can be so fun! But sometimes frustrating too, so having a backup photographer around is nice as well!

hehe yeah, I get attached to color in photographs too often I think... I almost didn't convert this one because my umbrella is bright red and looked so nice against the muted greens
