Description
What began as modifications to the X-001 project and experiments with ionizing plasma weapons became the Gundam-Class X-002. Rather than relying on high-density metal alloys to make the blade of its melee weapon, the X-002 wields a pair of neon-positron ion cutters. The ion swords can also be used as ranged weapons; by increasing the power output of the emitters, the "blade" can be launched at targets within medium range. Due the positron emission's interaction with air molecules, the ranged attacks become less effective as range increases. Beside it's massive twin longswords, the X-002's complex arming recognition system allows it to handle any weapon in the NeoEarth arenal with ease.
