Description
The final Gundam-class mobile suit produced by "Project Artimis". The X-005 is built using the combat data compilations of all previous X-type mobile suits, including the stolen X-001. Designed solely for space combat, the X-005 is deadly in both close and ranged combat. The Titanium-Osmium composite claws are designed specifically to rip through mobile suit armor plating while durable enough to withstand the near-absolute zero temperature of deep space (unlike any other mobile suit melee weapons). The X-005's greatest weapon(s) are its 10 hydrogen-anion beam cannon defensor drones, allowing the suit to attack with deadly precision from any direction. The X-005 also features a revolutionary pilot interface: The pilot is suspended in a super-cooled solution of perflurocarbons as neuro-uplink probes are attached directly to the pilot's central and peripheral nervous system, removing all analog-input delays. Laboratory tests show that damage to the mobile suit may be percieved by the brain as real physical harm and the pilot is at extreme risk for psychological trauma leading to physiological harm.
