Description
A follow-up to [link]Kirk doesn't take too kindly to having his ship and crew threatened, and has had enough of the Emperor's nonsense. Dr. McCoy tends to an injured Vader as Kirk gives one of his famous speeches to a stunned Emperor!

...but not before Palps hits him with Force lightning that should stop his hart, but for some reason here, doesn't.

And then Kirk jump-kicks Palpatine in the chest, sending him over the railing to a fiery death below.

*Vader looks up at McCoy, and thinks to himself*

This just proves Kirk doesn't need a phaser or fists all the time. Words and an extremely well toned pointy finger can make it clear quite well for a man who is up to the job. Just think what could've happened if it had been Picard or Sisko instead? Of that peep squeek blue eyed Kirk?

This isn't right! His uniform is still in one piece! What good is Capt. Kirk without baring his doughy '60s out-of-shape in-shape oil-smeared chest?

Why would his uniform shirt be torn in a fight with Darth Vader? It makes no sense for that to happen; besides, Vader wouldn't punch him, just use the Force to knock him backwards same as when he used the Force to deflect the turboblaster bolt fired by Han in TESB.
Plus, if Kirk was smart, he'd be using the midi-clorians in his fight against Vader and the Emperor via in injection of them into his bloodstream, and he'd be equipped with a lightsaber of his own made by Scotty or any of the technicians on the Enterprise. He sure as fuck wouldn't punch Vader, because he'd have a broken hand if he did. As well, he'd also have a ton of redshirts equipped with light sabers and also having midi-clorians in their bloodstreams to be backing him up and also kicking the ass of Death Star personnel by way of a secret beam-in.

This time I thought that Palpatine would never be swayed by JTK's words, no matter how eloquent. Fortunately, as we both know words are not the only weapon at the captain's disposal. He has a tall and mighty ship, and the loyalty of a tried and tested crew.
I'd like to think that a man with such an arsenal would always prevail against a withered wizard who knows only deception, manipulation, and intimidation. And yes I know that, "Evil usually wins, unless good is very careful" but I count caution among Kirk's virtues.

He has a ship with a mighty crew, but they are still going to get wasted by the Empire and its huge ships equipped with nasty firepower (and the fighter spacecraft from same.) Promus-Kaa is being deluded and then some (but I still like the spirit in which this picture is intended.)

That's true; Kirk may be the best orator in Trek history, being able to use his powerful words to sway the entire course of a culture's development on a planetary scale - but unlike Picard and the others, he's smart enough to know the value of a good old-fashioned right hook when the situation demands it. Sometimes, you gotta use force, and words ain't enough!
I love that quote of McCoy's! I definitely think that Kirk has the right "tools" to win against anyone like Palpatine.
