Description Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon are copyright of Lucasfilm, LTD.

Captain Kirk and the U.S.S. Enterprise are copyright of Paramount Pictures.

Just something that we've all wanted to see, I'm sure! You can't honestly tell me that, as a human being, you've never wanted to see the two coolest dudes in the universe team up!!

If this was a movie, though, it would need a tagline...but I can't come up with any. Let me hear your suggestions and I'll put it in the picture!

Oh, and that's an actual photograph of the Martian sunset behind them. Just thought it would make a cool background!

I own nothing in this image - just a cool photomanipulation I slapped together that I wanted to share!

I wouldn't care much about - he's typical 5-year old hypocrite, who bothers non-communists while he finds amusing the Soviet war crimes. When I told him that my great-uncle was killed in KatyΕ„ and my grandfather was tortured by NKVD in 1944, he laughed. As far as I remember, he still has the deviation I commented in his gallery.

Thanks! As for that question... Hmm, I've only ever heard Han Solo talk about going to "lightspeed," and the Enterprise can travel at least 800 times faster than the speed of light.

However, at sublight speeds, the Falcon may be faster!

While I don't know where the various pieces of Kirk are from, the Star Wars pics are promo shots meant to be seen by others.
The Starship in the upper right corner is a fan made model.
Nowhere does it say the contents of the picture are property of Promus-Kaa.
It's one of the few pictures that have Trek and Wars co-exist without anybody shooting at each other.

Relax, man, it's a piece of fan-art. I'm not trying to say I went back in time and took these photos of Harrison Ford and William Shatner back in the 60's and 70's - I'm not taking credit for anything. I'm just showing off the work I put in to photoshopping this image. If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to do similar work for you.

Haha, I was thinking about photoshopping a phaser-holding arm onto him, but I couldn't find one that worked well enough. He's already assembled from three different Kirk parts...I'm just glad people can't tell.

Besides, we both know he's badass enough that he doesn't need a gun. Think of all the computers he destroyed just by using his words...

we-r-nomad In reply to Promus-Kaa [2012-01-23 15:49:32 +0000 UTC]

I was just thinking of Return of the Archons in which the "computer du jour" deactivated his phaser. JTK holstered his weapon with a confident swagger, and went about arguing the computer down.

You might as well let Kirk pahser you, Landru, either way, you're going down.

Hmmm, you know what. I was just thinking about the similarities between Empire Strikes Back and The Enterprise Incident in which both these gents appear to be betrayed by their best friends. Of course JTK knew his betrayal to be ruse, he actually trusts his friends.

Sorry about the insane delay in responding, I normally put your replies ahead in terms of priority, but I missed yours under all the other comments I've gotten on other things.

Man, I love hearing from you a LOT since you know your TOS! And yep, Landru was doomed from the moment Kirk found out he was just a computer - although Kirk has been known to triumph over the "bad guys" just by talking THEM down, too.

That's one of the reasons why I've never liked any of the Star Trek movies, even the dumb TOS ones; they aren't like TOS! The movies always feature a Big Bad Villain, and despite any other filler they might pack the movie with, it always comes down to this solution: "To End Movie, Kill Bad Guy." That's always it. But TOS (the TV series) was always about MORE than that. If there was a Bad Guy, he was normally just misguided, and needed help. Think of Rojan in "By Any Other Name," or the best example, the Horta in "Devil in the Dark." The solution wasn't the kill the Bad Guy - it was to figure out what the Bad Guy was all about, and to maybe discover that they aren't that Bad to begin with. Or, there wasn't a central Bad Guy, there was a Bad Situation in General, that Kirk and Co. would try to resolve, either by fixing it (like in "A Piece of the Action") or simply be escaping it and realizing that it will change for the better on its own, without interference (as in "Bread and Circuses"). Even the Providers in "Gamesters of Triskelion" weren't just there to be killed; Kirk was able to convince them that letting their thralls live in freedom was better than forcing them to kill each other. This theme in TOS is one of the things that set TOS apart from other shows, and other sci-fi; it made TOS great, and is a defining characteristic of a groundbreaking show. But dumbing it down for the movies (even the "good" ones, like the shitty "Wrath of Khan" that people like for some lame-brained reason) discredits TOS and is a shame to bear the title "Star Trek."

Oh, and that's an AWESOME comparison you made between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "The Enterprise Incident." Nice observation!!
