A VERY rough, rather poorly-inked picture of mine. A neat idea, but poorly-executed. I'm not very proud of this one...But I DO think that the Cybermen could beat the tar out of the Cybusmen from the New Series.
The design of the Cyberman is the classic style from "Earthshock" or "Attack of the Cybermen." Since it isn't coloured, it's hard to pick up the detail of the flesh of his chest exposed under the torn part, so I figured I'd point that out. He's got robotic arms, but his torso is still flesh, albeit with a few wires hooked up to it.
Also, that's a crowbar he's beating the Cybusman with, not a cane.

I mean honestly, it's something pretty much BEGGING for an awesome clash of the titans. This needs to happen! You could play around with it so much..
None the less the drawing itself? Awesome. Really love the pose and angle of the Cybusman (Oh god that name is great, I'll be using that from now on thank you very much) and the same goes for the Cyberman!.. but it feels a little awkward, especially since we don't see his legs. A little confusing but yeah.
Otherwise, everything else is excellent, but some limbs or hand here and there seem out of scale but whatever they are minor complaints that can be easily overlooked. Love this, thank you so much for making it!

Mweh Iβm sorry if this makes you want to punch me but I think the new cybermen are perfectly fine villains I havenβt watched the old series hell with the new series Iβm only at season 3 but from what I read beside their origin and the old cybermen weakness to gold which caused major villain decay there basically the same and in all the episode they have so far appeared in they were pretty awesome.
Heard some people complain their new origin Is a rip-off of the daleks origin which is not true the only thing they have in common is a evil cripple.
Also new cybermen would totally win weakness to gold and all that.
Also how do you declare the new series non canon unless it gets canceled and they make a new doctor who show you do like itβs kind of petty and pointless itβs like saying return of the jedi is non canon.

Oh yeah, the new Cybusmen are AWESOME!! I love their design, and they're really awesome cyborgs. I'd still like to make a Cybusman costume for myself, and I love the Cybusman helmet that I have.
But they're not from Mondas, so they're not real Cybermen - they're just cool robots!

Actually I read that the cybermen from pandorica opens where Mondas cybermen but thanks to budget reasons they used the old cybermen costumes.

Actually, it's the other way around. The new ones are called Cybusmen because they're not real Cybermen - Cybermen are from a planet called Mondas, whereas Cybusmen are from an alternate reality version of Earth.

Why do people hate the bulky metal design so much? The sound the feet make is way cooler, lets you know how far away death is XD

I don't hate the design, I just hate the fact that it's not an actual Cyberman. Cybermen are from Mondas... this thing is just from an alternate-reality Earth. I actually like the metal design a LOT (although it does look a little too much like Iron Man...), but since it's from the New Series it just isn't canon.

Well it is a form of Cybermen, maybe it's how they were "born". You know that the timeline isn't always in the same spot every time on Doctor Who. *Also I'm not a classic fan, I started out with the 2005 series if that is not already evident* Oh and sorry for the long wait to reply, Been busy with schoolwork, hockey, that sort of stuff.

Don't worry about the long reply, I tend to give delayed replies myself.
As for myself, however, I AM a Classic Who fan, and I go so far as to not consider the New Series canon. And despite small timeline changes, that's still not the same as coming up with a new alien monster that bears a slight resemblance to one that already exists and claiming that it's the same being. Cybermen are from Mondas - anything else is just ripping off the name!

There are a few key things within the Doctor Who universe I would like to see. Quite apart from a staring contest between a Silent and a Weeping Angel, the outcome of an encounter between the Cybus Cybermen and the Mondas Cybermen would be very interesting. I think the most likely outcome would probably be the two working together - despite the weaknesses shown by the Cybus versions, they're similar enough that cooperation is certainly not out of the question.
Still, if it came down to it, seeing as the Cybus versions are just robots with a brain in the head, I could see the Mondas Cybermen beating them retarded instead of killing them. It makes sense - a few whacks to the head with something really solid, like, say, that crowbar, would be bound to cause severe brain damage. Maybe that's what happened here before the dismemberment started.

But yeah, this was mostly a statement I wanted to make about how much I hated the Cybusmen, and how much cooler the Mondas Cybermen are! Glad you like it.

The only problem i can see with the drawing is the absence of the Cyberman's legs, other than that it's excellent! And I love the allusion to the Gordon Freeman HL2 art ^___^

Well, the idea is that the Cybusman is lying against a big rock, but I've only now noticed (since you've pointed it out) that the way it's body is poised, that he COULD simply be suspended by the chest cables. Actually I like that a lot better!!
It's my dream that a professional colourist would give this a go...

thanks ofr doing this, i loathe the new series cybermen, theyre just so bland and earthbound. i mean i know cybermen are meant to be emotionless, but the cybus men come across as just being robots, the cybermen of mondas are intelligent and descicive with different personas, plus they sound like darth vader, cybus men sound like soundwave lol
