Didn't Poland invade Ukraine during the Polish-soviet war? I think I heard that they even disposed of Ukraines communist government for a while.

Not exactly, as there was no Poland and no Ukraine in that time and Lviev and Wilno were always Polish cities, and there were many Poles in there, so firstly it was captured from the inside
