Description
This was for a contest hosted by Snow Mexico on PBA to create an original propaganda poster.I chose to make a propaganda poster about the reinstatement of the Byzantine empire in the face of modern attitudes about Greece. Yes, i know Byzantium was Roman not Greek, but Constantinople is in modern Turkey so i think it's close enough.
Here are the results!
This took 3 hours, and i'm pretty proud of it tbh ;w;

Also, yes the Byzantines called themselves Romanos (Romans), but their official language after 610 was Greek, and many of the titles used in Byzantine aristocracy is derived from those used during the Pre-Roman Hellenic periods or taken directly from the Greek language.

for some reason a lot of people don't realize the byzantines were actually the eastern roman empire?? mostly because (like you said) after the split the culture kind of did go more Hellenic...
and by a lot of people i mean my stupid history teacher who literally told the whole class "The Byzantines renamed themselves the ottoman empire!!1!!1!"
