Look... sometimes I get exhausted enough with trying to figure out reality that I'd rather tear it apart. I find this happens when I start a project, and don't return to it until I've forgotten what I was originally intending to do with it. So - whatever... an unfinished illustration can be a catalyst for a moment of insanity. It's wicked fun.But if you must, try to bullshit a 'message' to this one if you like -- that'd also be good for a laugh

This is clearly an expression of humanity's fall. The coming of the end of the world. Using a brilliant blend of anthropomorphism he has merged Death with the Pale Horse... The halo of control-panel style lights point out both the technological hubris of man and symbolizes how this hubris will be our fall; only the creations of man are burning here, brought on by what -we- made -ourselves-. Deluded as we are, we have the gall to ask "WHY?"
The slender, youthful back could be either masculine or feminine, he leaves the viewer to make of it what he will. My god man, you are a genius!
