I love anything to do with fishes so this piece instantly strikes me. But the first thing I find myself a little disappointed with is the background, you made an amazing fish with beautiful blending and shading and subtle details. But then you just plopped it on a blue background with nothing going on. A gradual shade, or maybe a ripple, or something would take this picture from a three to a five for me. I mean obviously you want the fish to stand out as the best part of the picture, but at the same time you don't want to make it seem like you just didn't put any thought whatsoever into the rest of it. If that was the case why not make the background transparent? I don't mean to sound harsh, it's a lovely piece but that background just kills me.

i think its BEAUTIFUL!
but as SinisterSeduction has sad in their Critique, it would also be better with someing in the backround, a few bubbles even!
i love the fishy! can i keep him? =^.^=
