mmm, you have a knack for whipping out images that really pull on the emotional heart strings and this powerful example is no exception. the black and white seems wonderfully fitting since the image is all the more stark; i.e that splatter of blood bursting from his mouth stands out painfully against the blank back drop, making the dier effects of the attack all the more apparant. the sharp, angular shape of the flecks gives them motion, giving the image a snap shot feel and spontinuity. the way ohm's head is thrown back adds further impact, as do the sparks surrounding the point where the sword pins him. there's a fantastic effect you use around the site of impack; the white gives it an almost lumiouse effect and the pattern is in itself quite beautiful.
what makes this image so tragic is the interaction between ohm and the other chatrater. we can see her futile attempt to save him in the way she's holding him; a mix between trying to drag him, tryoing to support him or mearly cowereing behine him. her free hand and the drop of her head act to show her trying to shy away from this horrific event, a notion further supported by her expression (the scrunch of her eyes and pained grimace).

The emotion on Chee's face is beautifully startling, and WOW the anatomy of Ohm's neck. The way she's clutching at him, pulling him...there's a lot of movement in this. Just gorgeous.

yah... i think he gets beaten up so much cos he is still learning and growing into what he can be next time... he has talent, but still lacks in many skills. he's still finding out how to live through confrontations with Nightmare creatures. at this stage... i'm still figuring out how he'll win in a fight. I suppose it describes what i'm going through in real life as well... so... it's a journey for both of us. You have to suffer pain before you learn something for yourself. That's usually how it is, how humans learn. It don't get drilled in until it costs.
