ARMOFLAGE, the Stealth Moth Pokémon. With eyes trained to see at night, ARMOFLAGE positions itself cleverly behind its prey or even its predator for a surprise attack. This tactic ensures that its POISONPOWDER will hit its foes all the time.

Armoflage in the house, y'all! This is Diarthrone's counterpurt generic Bug!

The inspiration of the military theme for this specific evolutionary line is Armoflage's basis: tiger moths. Tiger moths have two different wing patterns. The front wings are brown with white seemingly pathways around, while the hind wings are orange with dark dots. At first look, it seemed army-ish, so I took it to the next level and made the front wings greenish and the hind wings just plain reddish. And this inspiration is very much evident in its name origin.

Armoflage is rather different with the fact that it does not share the ability with Beedrill, only with Dustox. Other than being Bug/Poison, Armoflage also gets Dustox' Compoundeyes ability.

Armoflage gains a good variety of moves, too! It gains somewhat a third type, Dark, with good moves, namely Pursuit, Beat Up, and Sucker Punch. Pursuit and Sucker Punch are there to attest to Armoflage's stealthiness, while the move Beat Up is a mimicry of an army attack, wherein Armoflage somewhat commands his fellow Pokémon to attack. Ingenious, eh? Also, Pin Missile is fired from the hairy parts of its body, which Tickle also uses.

Now, since Diarthrone got a lot from Butterfree, Beautifly, and Dustox, I decided to have Armoflage share Beedrill's stats solely. The 65 HP and 40 Defense are handed down directly from Beedrill to Armoflage. Being stealthy to me means being faster than being destructive, so I switched Beedrill's high Attack and Speed, and gave Armoflage 80 in Speed and 75 in Attack. Beedrill has 45 Special Attack and 80 Special Defense, being just a head-on attacker with large needles for arms. Armoflage however is a tactician, so its Special Attack should be usable, and my Stealth Moth gets 20 more in that stat at 65 than Beedril, sacrificing its Special Defense with 60.

Despite low stats, it has a lot of tricks [not just the Trick move alone] up its hairy body. It can almost ignore stats technicalities, and just throw dirty attacks to the enemy. But at the end of the day, it still has low HP and horrible defenses to take hits.
