Description EAGLETHUG, the Bird of Prey Pokémon. Trained at flying high and swooping quick, EAGLETHUG is the best at catching prey, even from top heights! Its tough, slender body grants this Pokemon speed and stamina, while its sturdy bone structure gives it deadly claws, beak, and wings for offense.

Name Origin: EAGLE, LETHal, THUG [a criminal, cutthroat, or professional assassin]
Type: Normal / Flying
Ability: Intimidate or Guts
Evolution: Eaglede ---Level 16---> Eaglibrute ---Level 34---> Eaglethug
Moves Learned: Same as that of Eaglibrute's with the addition of Night Slash upon evolution and Sucker Punch

Base Stats:
HP: 90
ATK: 100
DEF: 65
SP ATK: 40
SP DEF: 75
SPD: 105
TOTAL: 475

For a very critical reason , I would like to take this opportunity to thank all future ers and ers of my works.

EDIT 05182010: Adjusted the space between the normal and shiny versions for aesthetic purposes.

Here's the final form of my generic Normal/Flying type Pokémon: Eaglethug. I must say I am very proud of this work of mine. Eaglibrute sure resemble Pidgeotto and Staravia, but Eaglethug is a far cry from Staraptor's chubbiness and Pidgeot's girly look. Eaglethug is one tough bird that I designed it to have longer legs and a wider wingspan, challenging even that of Fearow's. The other reason for the conception of Eaglethug's evolution line is the rarity of real-world eagles, that this line's Fakemons serve as tributes to eagles and other endangered birds of prey.

Eaglethug is based on mature bald eagles and Zorro, the nobleman-slash-masked-outlaw. Being the final form of Eaglede, Eaglethug is as powerful as can be, especially with the addition of Night Slash upon evolution and Sucker Punch, both showing its inclination to Dark-type. Showing this "third-type" as with Eaglibrute are Eaglethug's long facial mask covering its eyes and a longer, flowing makeshift vest-cape. Its feathers are now dominantly black, taking over the outer layer of its wings and legs, while its inner wing, torso, and tail now have snow white feathers, further connecting it to its basis, the bald eagle. Yea, it is also "bald." Lol.

Again like Eaglibrute, only Guts-y Eagledes get to keep their ability up to its Eaglethug evolution. Intimidating Eaglibrutes becomes Intimidating Eaglethugs. Gotta love that Intimidate!

Eaglethug totally caught up with Staraptor's 135 increase in stat total after evolution from Staravia. They both have 475 total, trashing Pidgeot's 469. Rather different as it is, Eagibrute has a higher Special Defense at 75 as compared to its Defense at 65. This defensive shift mimics Noctowl more than Staraptor and Pidgeot. This also means Eaglethug is more prepared to take Special hits, but not by much. Good thing Eaglethug's 90 HP helps, as that amount still wins over Staraptor's 85 and Pidgeot's 83. Like Eaglibrute, Eaglethug has an unusable 40 Special Attack despite having Dark as its third type. However, I should note that although Dark is a special type in Generations II and III, in Generation IV, only one Dark-type attack is Special-based: Dark Pulse; all the rest are Physical-based. This fits well with Eaglethug's being stealthy and dark and all. And speaking of stealthy, Eaglethug's top 105 Speed totally owns Staraptor's 100 and Pidgeot's 91, and is only second to Swellow's 125 among the rest of the Normal/Flying types.

This time, Eaglethug is set to compare with the rest of the Normal/Flying-typed Pokémon, since this is the final form of its evolution line. And it seems like my Fakemon did not disappoint! I'm happy!

Eaglethug is mine!

I like

So... how big is it? Could a trainer actually lay on it's back during fly or is it too small?

psychonyxdorotheos In reply to kargaroc586 [2011-11-10 12:14:00 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Considering that it is a generic bird and at the same time an eagle [which is bigger than pigeons, swallows, and somewhat bigger than hawks], I'd say it is like 1.5 times the size of Pigeot. Could be smaller, though, but definitely bigger than the common bird Pokémon.

kargaroc586 In reply to psychonyxdorotheos [2011-11-10 22:31:11 +0000 UTC]

So let's do this
4'11" times 1.5 is 7'5" :O

At that size even I'd have no problem riding on its back let alone a little midget pokemon person...

It towers over me really...
....YAY!!! I love giant birds!

psychonyxdorotheos In reply to kargaroc586 [2011-11-11 02:36:09 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow, I didn't think it through. 7'5" is like really, really big, so I'd say it's around 6'3" maybe. Still towers you, though. Sorry!

When I saw this Pidgeot , I realized animé would make Ealgethug a real giant. Consider the fact that an adult male trainer is riding that Pidgeot's back! Animé is so confusing!

I am not insulting them, I am saying what I have observed. I even used their stats as basis for my Eaglethug, so there is no point complaining here.

Thank you very much for the kind words. As I mentioned, I only said what I observed, and I appreciate that you like how Eaglethug looks! I guess I can't please everybody, but hey, at least Eaglethug's got that 'thug' look that a lot of people liked!

My only complaint is the fact that you gave a bird-like pokemon a resembelance to a masked hero whose name means fox in spanish. Other than that it's excellent!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

psychonyxdorotheos In reply to anime-fan56 [2010-07-06 02:46:29 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's based on Zorro, the masked outlaw, not zorro, the Spanish term for fox, anyway. Still, good observation, I was actually waiting for someone to notice that, hehe. Thanks!

anime-fan56 In reply to psychonyxdorotheos [2010-07-06 17:01:15 +0000 UTC]

Your welcome! I pointed that out because sometime I get bothered when someoneuses a spanish term incorrectly, however since you based EAGLETHUG on Zorro himself it does'nt bother anymore.

I'm Filipino, Spanish and English have big influences on me, so don't worry. Thanks again, I'm glad there are more critical people out there, at least I won't get lazy doing my research, lol.

I'm Mexican born and raised in Texas and hardly know any Spanish because as a kid I didn't want to learn Spanish and now I'm trying to learn it after I realized it helps you get a job. So I now know some words but can't speak a full sentence yet.

psychonyxdorotheos In reply to anime-fan56 [2010-07-07 05:05:29 +0000 UTC]

Cool! At least you know some words. Yeah, Spanish is an old language that is quite a requirement for a decent job, but not here in the Philippines, lol. English is more of a need than Spanish.

But it's embaressing when your nine-year old cousin can speak Spanish a lot better than you can.

This is an amazing Normal/Flying type line, this is. Even my Robin/Red-Tailed Hawk line can't compare to the Zorro Bird of Awesomesauce.
If I were a trainer in your region, I would definitely want to have this Pokemon. Great job!
