And also excuse the cruddy picture. It wouldn't fit in any scanner, so I had to take a photo. The real thing's 21"x16". The colors got crazy too, and the bottom corner is really a lot lighter. Had to lay it down on my driveway in the sun in order to get the proper light. Subsequently, I realized that the canvas is slightly concave, making cropping it a tricky process. I ended up just tacking on a thick border. Aint I smrat?!

Anyways, this is a comission I've owed someone for the last three months. Hey- she was the one who said I could take my time. Word to the wise- NEVER SAY THAT TO ME! Well, when I finally got on it it only took two days in art class. About 3 hours total. Whatever. I'm done! Pay me now!

This is really beautiful. Love the angle and light. I like equine art that actually makes you think something (and this certainly does) and not just stare at the beautiful creature.

Thank you! It was a tricky angle to get right, I'm glad you appreciate it. Me too. I mean horses are beautiful, but just a plain picture of one is boring. You need something to really -look- at.

Thanks! Oh, I know just what you mean. I'd rather get it all done in one setting and just be finished with it! 'Tis acrylic. Oils are eeeeeviiiilll.... *hisses*

WOOT! First to comment!
That is very lovely. And had you not stated that you took a photo of it, I wouldn't have noticed the difference.And.... that only took you THREE hours?! wow! Dude, that's amazing let me say. For just a simple sketch it takes me at least an hour if not more depending on how quickly I work. But even then, I'm still not finished with it.... And for you to do that with paint (I'm assuming?) in that amount of time is absolutely amazing. So again, kudos!

hehe, not quite. (by only three minutes though!)
Thank you! Yup, I'm a very quick worker. If I can't finish a project in less than two or three days it'll never get done. I'm terrible like that. If I even have to wait for paint to dry I forget it and move on. (Yes, 'tis a painting.) Thanks agan!!

Thank you! The angle is a rather interesting one. I'd never done a picture from that angle, so it was... different to say the least.
