Description Remember this pic? [link] I told you I was going to add a background in eventually. I just so happened to conveniently make a winter-themed wallpaper for my computer in the process.

Even though a winter theme is odd for two reasons: 1) I HATE winter. The cold is my archenemy. Snow makes it bearable, but it never snows here, it just gets cold and windy so- HATE IT. 2) It was sunny and 67 degrees here today. It's like winter doesn't even exist here.

I know I should've worked on some of all the half-finished gift art I owe people instead of this, but this was some seriously-needed stress relief. I just survived the week from Hell.

ooh that is so pretty!! I love the monochrome and the trees are really nicely done. And the horse of course, he's very elegant. The only thing that stands out is the lineart style of the horse against the realism of the background, but I love both styles so I should just shut up and fave

Thank you!! You know, I've been trying to decide if I should go back and get rid of the lineart since I finished it. I never thought it looked quite right either. Now that I have some feedback, I think I shall go toy with it a bit.

No prob! It looks lovely anyway! Definitely one of the nicest winterpictures I've seen this year so far. I'm still awed by the trees, lol. I've had to draw some snowy fir trees recently and they weren't the most exciting things I've ever had to draw, I ended up copy-pasting and flipping most of them But they are small, and far away, and I went over them so you can't tell. So it's okay! (Except it's probably not, haha)

Wow, it looks good!! Hmm.. Its good u dont live in Norway then, here is it snow and cold.. but its kinda warm to be winter... Its on 0- c. O_o So not really cold as im used to before XD Must be the clima change thingy..

Oh geeze, 0C would make me cry. It's still in the 60s (F) here and I think it's too cold. I wish I had snow to send! But sadly, It only snows every once in a blue moon here....

Yeah, it never actually gets genuinely cold. It's fun to listen to all the people here from out of state ask, "So do you guys like, just skip winter down here or something??"
