I'm gonna miss him when the semester is over.

Well, I had a trainer come out to work with her, and it seems she was actually worked with at some time. But somewhere in her short life (she's only 2-1/2) she learned to kick when aggitated.

Sheesh, that's a tough habit to beat. Toby actually had that problem whenever anyone went near his back feet for quite a while. He didn't just kick though, he AIMED.

She doesn't aim (thank goodness!) But she has connected! She's boarded at my friend's house, and her 12 year old son went out to feed. He passed her with the hay wagon, and she decided to help herself. (Against the rules, but she's a newbie & hasn't learned that yet) He shooed her away, and she left, but came right back. He shooed her again, and she turned around & kicked twice! The first one connected with his thigh, and the 2nd missed. Fortunately, just a bruise. But she's 'off limits'now, until I can work it out of her. Sucks, because she's my first horse, so I'm clueless too!

Sassy girl!! Well good luck with her! The learning process is real tough, especially for the first time. But the results are so rewarding I think it's totally worth it.
