Description One of the prominent uses of ultra wideangle lenses - give an impression of how far the distance between foreground and background is, the DOF you can achieve is unique; you can let your view wander "into" the image, if you will.

That's my father in the picture (I was basically sitting on top of him for this pic ), and an analogy came to mind while thinking about why the UWA lens was of good use here. Near-far... it kinda reminded me, no matter how far I want to go in life, it's probably not a bad idea to always remember where I came from. Fittingly, it was my father who, without knowing, got me into photography in the first place, and it's a good feeling to now be able to share that passion. Yet another twist to the near-far thing...
