The tears are so familiar to my face now,
I'm missing the smile that was always there.
I take a step back and wonder how,
How could I end up in the middle of nowhere?

I had dreams and I had a hope:
That I'd be all I couild and do my best.
With all the pressure I just couldn't cope.
Now I know life was one big test.

I'm not ready for this,
Please tell me why,

Down stream a million more tears,
As if to be certain my face is soaked.
A situation like this was the worst of my fears,
Sooner or later they'll all know I choked.

This happy-go-lucky girl,
Always smiling and kind,
Took her life in a whirl.
I guess the world CAN be blind.
And those deserving it the least,
Down a few pills,
Succumbing to the beast.
The beast that kills.
