Holy crap, I finally submitted something! Haha. Did this a while back as a commission. Finally colored it cause I felt like it.

This is a fairly decent fanart for Bleach, as color choices go, and the white swirling lights have very nice details. Your inclusion of the butterflies are a nice detail from the series, and do a good job of making the simple background more interesting.
As critiques go, I'm going to take a leaf out of Qinni's book, but I'll try to justify everything I say.
The skin shading, in comparison to the strong shading of her clothes, appears very faint. This results in a very flat or 2D face, arm, etc. The shading on the cloth on her right arm (our left)also seems too strong, considering the light source and the surrounding fabric shades; her head surely does not cast such a large, dark shadow!
Moving on to the head, the shininess of the hair is commendably done, but it also looks like Rukia's hair is solid metal. Combined with the sharp secondary blue lighting, her single bang looks sharp-edged. If you toned it down a little more, it might look more soft and fluid as hair usually does.
This final point is probably stylistic, but Rukia's fingers are much too sharp and do not seem to hold her zanbatou very effectively. A part of her other arm should also be visible if it is hanging relaxed at her side, unless she is tucking her hand behind her hakama deliberately.
Overall your composition is bound to be limited in originality, but everything is well-balanced, and the colors are reasonably appealing. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="

Firstly I must say that I love this peice, it's really cute!! You did pretty well on Rukia's hair and also on her sword, I like the background too, you also did really well with the clothes, however keep in mind that Rukia, wile she does have that very cute baby-face, also is an adult and a very mature person so her features are a bit more mature and a bit less child-like, her eyes also have ALOT of shading in them, my only other critque is that her... chest... is well a bit big, it'd look fine on Orihime but Rukia is ver, very petit and it looks out of place, on the one hand it isn't like she has nothing there but she isn't Orihime either, I understand it's pretty hard to make her poprotionate, something I reccomend is refrencing a picture of her from the anime's first season wile she's wearing a dress as I think that sizes her most accuratly, over all though a beautifull peice!
