If you don't agree with this, MY opinion, that's great, good for you. If you DO agree with my opinion, awesome, good for us.But a picture of a naked woman or man sitting in a chair in with a contemplative pose...just because they're naked doesn't mean that it's pornographic. No, no it does not. You may see it that way, and if you do, that's honestly very sad because nudity can be quite beautiful.The body can be very artistic and beautiful IF the person in the body takes care of themselves.
The naked human body is not anything to be ashamed of. It is not a sin. And if nudity is pornographic, does that mean that every time anyone of any age, even a newborn, is being pornographic?
And nudity is only pornographic when that is the intent behind
it.
AND NO, MOST NUDITY IS NOT PORNOGRAPHY, PEOPLE JUST PAY MORE ATTENTION TO IT AND ADVERTISE IT MORE, SO IT GETS MORE ATTENTION.

I don't think nudity is porn.
There's a pretty big difference between art and porn (and also nudity and art)... and if people can't see the difference between them... then well...
For what I know for it to be porn, there has to be some sort of physical contact: penetration, sexual act etc etc.
In most nudity pictures on DA, there is no penetration or sexual contact.. therefore it doesn't really classify as porn <.<

My art teacher told us that there were 3 states of naked:
Nudity: is for art
Naked: when you're about to get in the shower
Nekid: when you're about to have sex

Nudity also means purity, which I sometimes try to incorporate in my art. Some of my friends will go "OMG Y-U-DRAWING NEKKID PEOPLE THAT'S GROSS"

i agree with the stamp. i consider it art even though people look at me and think i,m a pervert just because they assume i take interest in it for sexual purposes. this is not the case. i admire the human body in all its beauty, i believe whether your big or small, thin or wide, were all beautiful regardless of how we look. and artistic nudity is just one of the ways to express it.
and those of you who don't admire yourselves. you should, it doesn't matter if you have a few extra pounds, or your not the cleanest person. or if you have small boobs. or something about you that most people dislike. it doesn't matter at all. because each and every one of us is beautiful and we should be allowed to express it however way we want.
And that is my opinion. so thumbs up to the stamp.

Nudity is a form of art, depending on how it is portrayed and for what purpose. There are just so many close-minded individuals out there.

i agree the definition of porn means photos or videos of 2 or more ppl in engaged in sexual activity so far i have not seen that on dA a single female nude can be classed as artistic so therefore im all for it

I mean, The Simpsons Movie had a quick 2-second shot of Bart's...doodle...uncovered. On TV though, it's censored to "European version only), but you can still see it on home releases
And then there's Fantasia and its "Night on Bald Mountain" segment...controversy stemmed MORE not from the Devil (aka Chernabog), but that there were quick shots of topless harpies flying by. *sarcasm* Oh my god! Women have nipples! My childhood is ruined!

I agree with you, but I also want to point out it's stupid when someone says it's art because its got "A Girl showing her nipples!", there's nothing wrong with the human body, I'm ashamed of mine, but no one has to be ashamed of their own, but just because it has nudity dosent make it porn, but that dosent ALLWAYS make it art, but it can be art, but not just because of the nudity

Yes! There is a huge difference between them.
I think artistic nude has some meaning in it and there is more feeling than just psychical. And there isnΒ΄t always even sexual organs.
Porn protography is more sexual with that heavy feeling that has no other meaning than sex. (though IΒ΄ve seen a lot of these in Deviant art too... such a shame...)
But when talking about drawings and paintings it is always art. Even if it would be pornographic because it will be still handmade and there is a lot of effort, feelings and meaning behind it! ^-^
