I saw X-Men: First Class on Monday with a friend (who agreed with me that the whole Erik + Mystique thing didn't work for either of us...I was almost tempted to ask her what she thought about these two |D derp) and fell in love with it instantly. And, like pretty much everybody else who watched it, I thought the dynamic between these two was golden! Which made the ending all the more sad lskdjflskdflskj I don't understand, why do friends do this to each other? Are you TRYING to make us ship you guys? D: answer: yesAnyway, I felt like doodling a quick something to express my love for them. So here it is. *^* Hopefully it looks like them. Erik's hair was giving me a hard time. >:c Haven't used a mouse in awhile so my skills are a bit rusty. Bleh.

I KNOW! It was such a random moment. I wouldn't really have anything against Erik/Mystique if it was developed right, but uhh, they barely spoke and suddenly she's in his bed and they kiss? Um. I don't understand. xDDD And as for Charles/Moira, I was a little more okay with that (it made more sense to me than Erik/Mystique did. At least they TALKED, pfft), but I thought that it was random too. But yeah, idk. XDD haha! I bet they were just inserted to show how even MORE obvious Erik/Charles was. ;D It's so canon it hurts!
The only het pairing that I thought would've made sense, at least for me, was Hank/Mystique. I was so surprised it didn't happen! And maybe Shaw/Emma. Idk. I'd have to watch the movie again.

I totally agree with you! I think Erik/Raven (or indeed any other het pairing) would annoy me IF it got in the way of such beautiful, obvious, sexy, cute slash - and I'll admit to that - but it annoys me even more when the het is just put in there to be like "They're straight, they're straight I tell you!" when the slash is like IN YOUR FACE TAKE ME AND WRITE FANFIC BITCHES. I dunno, I thought Erik/Raven and Charles/Moira were both really sudden and random :/
It's not that I don't like het pairings, but these ones just don't make sense! Hank/Raven actually worked, and I quite liked them! They were really cute together, and I hoped they were going to find themselves and accept themselves through each other. And then the film just killed it. 
I reckon, as far as this film is concerned, the pairings go:
OTP - Erik/Charles
Cute side pairing - Hank/Raven
Evil pairing - Shaw/Emma
(Possible tiny pairing - Darwin/Havok)
But yeah, I'd probably have to watch it again too (and I have no problems with that!)

Hahahaha! I think that between those two, Erik/Raven was definitely more random. I felt that Charles/Moira was more of a way for Charles to erase Moira's memories (which he did)...I don't think it was so much a ~romantic thing. But maybe I'm wrong. Who knows. : P Although I did immensely enjoy the moment after that...where Moira's all "I remember...a kiss *A* /swoons" and the other people are just like "oh geez, this is why women can't be in the CIA" trololol. <33 So amusing, haha!
Anyways.
Yeah, I don't discriminate between het/slash when it comes to shipping (because really, as long as the pairing makes me happy, I could care less about the sexuality xD), but the ones in X-Men: First Class were definitely awkward. I'm glad you agree about Hank/Raven! I thought it was really cute, but then sldfksldkff D:
Totally agree with all those~ 8) I admit I kind of liked Charles/Raven in the beginning (when Raven was all "would you date me?" and Charles was just like "huh what? what's gotten into you?" and Raven's all ";A;"), but then Erik came by and that kind of disappeared. >XD

Hmm, yeah Charles/Raven could've been quite cute, like you said, when she's feeling insecure, and then she snuggles up on the sofa and he read to her (I now srsly want to write a Charles/Erik fic based on this concept!) but I dunno, I guess I saw them as more brother and sister?

I know that I keep repeating myself whenever I comment on your artworks: I love the STYLE, and the COLORING. It'll never change. I'll feel the same way again and again about all your style, because it really amazes me, it being done with gimp too. I always thought gimp was so confusing and irritating. And look, you can color so well with it, other people need those awesome programs like PS or SAI for it. YOU GO GIRL *______________*
I love this SO MUCH. You know I've never seen the movie, but I'm super attracted to Charles now that I see your drawing of him. CB <333 XDDD He seems so sexy and sly. I think his side profil does it for me. SO GOOD. It's that angle I just cannot do right...From behind/the side. You did it absolutely fantabulously fantastic! And his hair....Wow. ;__; It looks so perfect, nothing is off about him at all. ;A; and I like that he is shorter than Erik. I also love that the whole picture has this kind of smokey effect to it. It makes the pairing seem very mature and has a completely new feel from your former OTPs. It's interesting, very much so. *____*

And no, she’s not. She’s an okay character, but…the Erik + Mystique moment in the movie was just so WTF and out of the blue (at least for me) that it just…seemed so tacked on. Idk. I’m not just saying this because I support Erik/Charles (lol suuuuuure), because I would’ve supported ANY pairing the movie produced as long as it was developed well enough. And sadly, Erik/Mystique did not do it for me. Nor did it do it for my friend. I love her for that. xD and speaking of which, at that sleepover I was at yesterday, we kinda talked about X-Men and how epic it was and how Erik + Mystique was reaaaaally awkward, haha! /SHOT OH ME

Exactly. 8D I mean I know there were people all "It doesn't fit with the timeline" and "that's not how it is in the comics" but I think it's great as its own thing. o_o It's not necessarily a reboot but it's also not a direct-from-comics thing either. It's good on its own.

XD I actually watched it online first, because I couldn't contain myself any longer, but after doing that like five times I convinced my mother that we had to see it in theaters the other day and it was amazing. The online version I found, well, the best one from the offered ones was kind of blurry, especially in darker lit scenes, but it gets the job done for when I really want to watch it again. I can't afford to go to the theater again any time soon. DX Would you like the link for it?

I want my parents to see it too! After I got home from the theater I immediately told them about how awesome it was. >XD But lsdkflsdkfjf I feel awkward asking them to see it with me because...yes. As a family, we were never really X-men fans (/shot), but after seeing this one I definitely became one. *u*b lolol I feel so shallow haha. Ahhh! I see! I think that I didn't enjoy them as much because I wasn't much into superhero movies back then. I really want to rewatch them so I form a more accurate opinion of them. But I agree that no matter what, I'll still love this one the most...*____* A lot of people complain about plot holes and stuff but...honestly, I didn't notice them and a film doesn't have to be ~perfect or "oscar material" to be a good and enjoyable movie.

I mean it's not exactly a reboot and not exactly in time with the comics or previous movies, but it's so good that it's..really just good as its own thing. I ended up watching the first one last night and just watching the second one online. It felt good. 8D And it was interesting watching Charles and Erik older when compared to First Class.
