stumbled over a old sketch from 2007, edited the linearts, wanted to color it with water colors, realiced its drawn on the wrong paper, decided to try soft pastells...looks dirty ehh?
One of those scenes where mewtwo canΒ΄t stand the loneliness anymore, while Nails is standing behind him, watching. Nails should be a ghost here and should be transparent, nahh but he just looks more dirty. lol

Nice job. Pastels are one of the harder things to draw with. Especially because they smudge so easily. But I think you did an awesome job with them on this pic!

Pastels are sadly one of the harder mediums to work with, especially if you're doing it on a small format. The "dirtiness" of the pastels works for the emotion in the picture. The texture makes it seem rather suffocating. In a way it adds more to your picture than you probably given it credit for. But even I prefer smoother results with my own pastels.

i have to admit i did not spend much time on this, but yeah even if i did, i suppose it wouldn't had turned out better. definitely a harder medium, i ll never use it again on such a kind of picture, it needs much simpler outlines i suppose. and yes the small format complicated this also. Anyway it was worth the try and i am glad it worked at least a bit for the picture. thank you!

You did nicely on this, it doesn't look too messy.
Poor Mewtwo, I feel sorry for him with how lonely he must get at times. He may live in solitude away from others, but he cannot hide from his isolation.

thats exactly why i started with this comic, i thought this aspect is pretty interesting, besides the all mighty powerful mewtwo everyone sees first. but i have to admit i like the mewtwo from the first movie much more.
