I watched the last Merlin episode. Heartbroken doesn't even begin to describe it. D; So I painted a modern!AU as a kind of catharsis - from an old sketch of one of derryere's most epic fics . Although maybe I just wanted a chance to draw emo!Merlin haha WHO KNOWS.A beautiful ending to a show that was frequently silly but, at its core, full of heart. I miss it already.

Love it. So simple, but so effective. I like your description - "frequently silly but full of heart" - so true; I stuck with the show because even when it was being out and out ridiculous, it was still sort of....noble I guess haha

Oh gosh this is wonderful. So many beautiful colors, so much emotion in such a simple picture. The idea of their future selves mixed with their past selves, this is simply amazing.

This is soooo beautiful!!! How much did you work in this? 'Cuz, really, it seems complicate.
To me, the ending was....a bit disappointing. I watched the videos in YT (way before end the 2 season) but I thought....that it was going to be a bit more...more, you know? I mean, 64 chapters of the Arthur's obliviousness to Merlin's magic, at least 2 seasons and a half of Morgana, a war of 2 chapters; and in the last chapter Arthur finds out (and not even by himself, Merlin told him), Mordred and Morgana are killed, and....Arthur dies. In like 30 minutes they sort everything out. Really?
Anyway....I commented to tell you that the talent you have is awesome, not to give my opinion, sorry. Keep doing this!

I cried when I saw this. I cried. This represents Merlin in it's entirety, even the times that never happened. This is how the return would happen, I have no doubts.

Personally, if I was to hang any one print in honor of my love for Merthur, I think this may be my choice for favorite. It isn't slashy, but it tells the whole tale...that they're drawn to each other endearingly, even now, and it reflects what they were and have always been. Just beautiful!

Merlin's dragon wings are just too perfect and I like that you've made Merlin look like his character from the episode Midnight in season four of Doctor Who with David Tennant (Sob, sob, I miss him still!)
