Description Pteroslavian Ironclad Battleship, Strach Class
Serial Numbers: OkP1

Preceded by: None
Succeeded by: TBD

Designed in 1884, with the originally designed muzzle-loaded rifles being replaced with new Summit-designed breech-loaders, the Strach class was Pteroslavia's first modern (At the time) Battleship. Heavily armed and armored, the PRN Strach was the pride of the fleet upon her commissioning in 1888. She was inspired by the earlier Devastation and Dreadnought class Ironclad Battleships, observed by Summit-company envoys to the British Empire. She utilised a new method of creating armor, the Kowalski method (All intents and purposes, same as the Harvey method, only about ten years earlier) She based all around the Baltic, and was even the transport of choice of the King in 1890 from Danzig to Dover, with the escort of a small fleet of cruisers, to discuss events, reactions, and other matters of international import.

She was laid in 1885 at Danzig, and commissioned in 1888.

In 1892, she resigned to Danzig for a refit, adding 4 casemate mounted 100mm guns in the sides of the hull, as well as 8 mountings for the newly designed 25mm automatic cannons.

(Actions and final fate of the PRN Strach remains to be determined)

Nice - reminds me of the old HMS Dreadnaught of 1875 (with breech-loading guns).
