1. Their strength: As the largest of the big cats, tigers are jam packed with muscle, using every fiber to pull off wicked athletics and to take down rowdy prey like deer, wild boar, cattle, etc. The physical prowess of this primeval prowler is what led to the cat becoming the role model of world famous bodybuilder Charles Atlas, the most perfectly developed man the world had ever seen. I too see the tiger as symbolic of strength and brute force, as there's virtually no other predator in its jungle home powerful enough to beat it.

2. Their stripes: No other big cat species currently living has such piercing black stripes emblazoned upon fiery orange, as most wild cats just wear a coat of spots! The tiger's camouflage is impeccable in camouflaging amongst tall grass, especially considering much of its prey cannot see the color orange! Orange is such a vibrant color that really stands out with much of the jungle's endless green, as well as snowy white areas that add a bit more grace and elegance to the majestic beast. Not to mention the special varieties of tigers in white, golden, stripeless white or even black (not quite black head to toe like a panther, but the stripes are definitely splotchier)

3. Their ferocity: For thousands of years, mankind has feared and respected the tiger, armed with slashing claws and a crushing bite for which to sink its teeth into victims. Much of the time, maintaining a vice grip to the necks of prey are what get the job done, yet some tigers throughout history have been known to get creative if one of their killing tools, usually a fang, becomes crippled. As was the case of the Champawat tigress who from 1903 to 1907, became a maneater and slaughtered an estimated total of 436 people, before being shot down by British game hunter Jim Corbett.

4. Their impact on humanity: As I mentioned before, we have feared tigers for a very, very long time. Fear can lead to people doing terrible things, especially to such an important creature as the tiger, fulfilling its role as an apex predator controlling populations and maintaining balance in it's ecosystem. This fear however had gradually developed into greed. The desire to poach crucial parts from the poor cats... skin, bone and all. Yet humanity is also helping the tiger thrive for generation to generation in special preserves and by breeding them in zoos, which have undergone a wonderful evolution from animal prisons to the closest thing man can build to a natural habitat to properly abide each animal's needs.
