Description Sylvbear
(Nymphailuris rotundus)
FAIRY
Evolution: Evoles from Eevee + max friendship + knows a Fairy type move + is holding a Teddy Sylvbear

Let's face it. Bears and certain bear-like Pokémon are unfairly designed. They're big, fluffy, a bit chubby and just plain amusing to look at. Doesn't sound too bad, but the problem is that they tend to look cute and cuddly yet they'll rip you to shreds if you try to snuggle one. Even the giant panda, arguably the most roly poly and marketable of bears, can get cranky and defensive when approached by an affectionate human. This is thankfully not the case for the Sylvbear, a towering Sylveon offshoot species most common within the Kalos region and Veehala

Like just about any Sylveon or Sylveon species, the Sylvbear is unconditionally loving and friendly to any creature it meets, including humans. It's great size, thick fluffy fur and blubbery tummy seem to make the fairy type a love magnet for adoring souls. Yearly surveys taken show that 97% of Lumiose City's residents would willingly give any Sylvbear they see a big hug, even if it were wild! Unlike a similar Pokémon, Bewear, they are always extra gentle and considerate when giving hugs and affection. The best way to attract one for some cuddles is by offering it an abundance of sweet treats and food, especially Pokepuffs. Some Kalosian bakeries make deluxe XL Pokepuffs big enough for Sylvbears to indulge on (these puffs are about the size of a beach ball)

In the wild where there are few loving humans to give them baked goods to eat, Sylvbears feed on a herbivorous diet for the most part. Berries, flowers and stalks of sugar cane keep the big hearted beasts well fed out in the wilderness, with the occasional fishy meal (either an actual fish or fish-like Pokémon) for some well needed protein. After a long whimsical day of eating, socializing and playing, they rest their 10 ft tall, thousand pound bodies against sturdy forest trees or on soft flowerbeds in meadows. In the instance where a Sylvbear must defend itself from a predator or attacker (even the cuddlebug Sylvbear knows which Pokémon aren't so friendly), it stands its ground and roars while whipping its ribbons and stomping. It just isn't in their nature to fight, so the beasts simply bluff and intimidating foes (though a Sylvbear under trainer ownership can still battle)

Sylvbears are in seasonal demand, especially around Valentine's day, so catching wild individuals is discouraged and regulated for the remainder of the year. An Eevee can only evolve into a Sylvbear if it meets the same evolutionary requirements of Sylveon while holding a soft and cuddly toy known as a Teddy Sylvbear!

It's come to my attention that I had never drawn a Sylvbear on all fours until now.
