A warm-up doodle that turned into an actual piece, yay!

Since I received my copy of "The Secret of Kells" in the mail, I've been doing nothing but watching the special features/director's commentary/etc etc. I could watch this movie a million times and never get tired of the beautiful details.

I'm also fairly proud to say that this is my own watercolor texture I painted and scanned in! I used a technique in photoshop that described using in an email! (thanks again for that!!)

So here is Aisling and Brendan climbing trees. Among many other sweet and pretty scenes in this wonderful film by Mr. Tomm Moore.

Most definitely.
Though I was sort of put off by the cliffhager ending, everything else was just gorgeous.

I am forever jealous of how nice you got those outlines to be, not to mention I would be totally unable to tell this is digital if not for your mentioning. GOD DAMN BUT THIS IS PRETTY. It's kind of easy to mistake the tree limb for a part of the background, but that's the only thing that stands out like that.

I just watched it myself and girl....you do it justice with these fan pieces! It's such a beautiful animation. Song of the sea also looks promising. The technique you used is lovely, and a lot like what I've been wanting to do myself, but with cardstock and gellyrollz.
