A black widow that made her home in the notch of a gate next to the big sycamore tree on side the house. These and brown recluse are the only spiders that truly frighten me

You should be afraid of at least Black Widow's, considering how their venom is deadly, and when it comes to death, (not cancer), far from benign. One reason why I hate insects, especially spiders, stingers, (if you know what I mean), and those little bloodsucking parasites.
