Description
Although for the first half of this scene there was no dialogue, I felt it was probably the most intimate and romantic scene in a game I'd ever come across---and it still strikes me as such even after having played dozens of mainstream games nowadays.Also, I challenged myself to draw and paint in one sitting---so glad I was able to shut my brain up for a day and actually finish something.

(and don't bother with the "nice guys finish last" dude...it's an impossible argument. All relationships are their own individual thing, not an algorithm or stereotype...Squall and Rinoa worked because they worked, not because Squall was a take-charge jerk or a nice guy or whatever)

I can somewhat agree; however, sometimes one needs to adjust his perspective. Sure a nice guy can take charge, but I've noticed that some nice guys reach for the impossible--every single time! I don't buy that nice guys finish last myth, because at the end of the day, it's all about stepping out of ones comfort zone and aspiring for something real.

Honestly, that logic is true for almost anyone; although, I will say that if a person is rich they will undoubtedly
find someone (even if that relationship doesn't last.) Look at Donald Trump. 
guys tend to be attracted to gold diggers who simply look hot. >_> It takes a few years before a guy realizes this though, and by the time he wakes up, the nice girl lives alone with a dozen of cats and a puppy, far away from earth. There's that. lol..

Oh, I meant aside from gold diggers, there are bitter people to be wary of too. But yeah, I agree. Gold diggers are the worst.
It all stems from the fear of not wanting to end up with someone who can't provide, which, realistically is always good to keep in mind. But gold diggers twist this normal fear into a grotesque and hideous creature that is quite insatiable. Materialism is such a turn off for me. There's nothing wrong with wanting and having nice things, but to the point of using other people just to acquire things that don't last...it's really ridiculous, and like you said earlier, a waste of time.

You are preaching to the choir! This is true. I can't think of another way to live my life that's as rewarding as crafting art. Others will never get it, but I guess that's the way it's always been.
