Haha, I get what you mean! I took this so long ago I can hardly remember. But I'm positive I took it outside! I think the gray background comes from some farm machinery.

Focus and macro are my favourite two things of photography, I only have a compact, Lumix DMC-TZ3, so can't get the focus depth of an SLR, perhaps there's a compact specially for it..

You should have turned down the ISO and lower the shutter speed. Closing the aperture would have a good effect too.
