Description Today i've realised that i don't have a decent drawing of characters from my novels! gee, how could that happen? there're so many nice vampires and werewolves and even people!
so i've decided to begin with the main character who connects three different stories - my lovely Lumius. In fact, he is not lovely at all. He's a bastard. He's around 17 centuries old and has a bad character (so bad that i marvel at the fact that he's still alive!). Due to his age he's one of the most powerful vampires on earth and most of his powers are connected with mind control and creating worlds inside one's mind (or his own)...well, i can't explain it in English well so i'll just say that he's good at creating illusions that are so perfect that if you die inside his illusion you die in the reality. Scary, huh? what else can i say about him? Lumius created only two vampires and he ended up killing one of them cuz she was too pitiful (yeah, i like killing parts!) and the second vamp is quite all right so Lumius lets him live...so far. Oh, and one more thing - he has the medallion which makes him able to walk under the sun and get by without blood for longer periods than other vampires.
I wrote three novels about vampires about three years ago. Two of them are about Lumius as a main character and the third (which is the second in the chronological order D) features him as a background character who just appears, ruins everybody's lives and disappears into nowhere ^_^ in the last novel Lumius finally finds a companion to live with (i won't say his name cuz i still don't know how to write it in English) and conquers the city (Napoleon, huh!) and...i guess he's still alive and kicking!

again...long comments. damn.

about the drawing itself. Well, it doesn't show his vampire nature at all and it's quite colourful but, damn, vampires can be colourful too!

somehow i found it difficult to use it..may be cuz it's new to me. I like that there lots of brushes with realistic effects and i was eager to use them but my tablet works a bit strange in OpenCanvas so it wa just uncomfortable. I guess i need to tune it up somehow...gee, but you can turn the canvas sideways in OC - the option i'd kill for!!!!!

Noddings In reply to Pulvis [2009-02-25 23:46:06 +0000 UTC]

that is the great thing about OC! Turning the canvas in any angle is great and really easy!
and about the tablet, that may be the pressure levels... try to adjust them to the program... in PS I must work with low opacity... maybe is something similar

Pulvis In reply to Noddings [2009-03-02 11:31:27 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i need another brain to figure out how to change these pesky options ^_^ still, photoshop is somehow closer to me although OC has so many wonderful effects that Ps lacks! T_T
