I think it's pretty nice already! shading looks a bit rough, though that is not that big an issue, I actually like it.
but the pose is... well, it's almost like cwidahohumanities.pbworks.com/… those Egyptian paintings. the head is facing left, the body looks like a front view, and the legs are facing left again... it looks off.

well, I know Torchics don't really have visible tail and wings, but... you should at least draw a line to indicate the wing and a small end at the butt to make it look like a tail... I mean, baby chickens are not round, cache4.asset-cache.net/gc/7842… see? they have a bit of a tail. if you add that, it looks a lot more like a side view.
