I remember, after seeing them for the first time, grocery shopping with my Mom and wondering which of the other shoppers were fembots and which were 'real'. That's close to 40 years now, but one of my most vivid childhood memories.

The fembots scared me to death as a kid.
I remember climbing up in my dads lap watching this show. You did such a great job.

I remember those. They were scary.

Something I loved about them, which you captured perfectly here, is how ordinary and domestic they looked, but for the open panels in their faces. Chillingly plain, with a horrifying secret. That's the stuff that gives me nightmares.
