That's so true. I mean, I'm not calling myself emo (I don't call myself anything but me) but that's what people stereotype me as. And I also get that shit a lot--that just because you're "emo" you cut yourself. I know more people that aren't "emo" that cut themselves than that people are emo. I hate that. And yeah, I have cut myself before but it had nothing to do with the whole "emo" thing. But I know where you're coming from. Sorry for this long message, I just get carried away.

It's so annoying when people just assume and have preconceptions about people they doesn't even know, just because they are dressing in a special way, talks in a special way, acts in a special way, in other words "when you're not normal".

Seriously. I just hate how judgemental people are and don't understand how people could even say that about people they don't know. I mean, when people say that to me I just think "you don't know my life" cause they obviously don't. This society is so terrible these days. And even if these people are classified under "emo" we still all have different styles. My style is way different from other emo kids I know. We're still complex even if we like the same music and fashion. And I like being different. I don't even know what "normal" is and I'm proud of it

It's like they think that everyone that's not like themselfs are weird, and they don't even care how nice you are.
You can be really friendly to everyone, but still they wont take away theese 'rules' that clearly says: If your emo, goth or anything like it you steal, cut and don't know the word nice.
They have no fuckin idea of who I am, they don't know me!
I mean, you can't be the same as everyone else, everyone have their own style, that's what make us unique. How fun can it be to walk around as a copy to everyone around you?Seriously.

I know! It's so unrealistic how people are. I mean, if people see somebody different, they freak. Well, they think they're freaks. Just because we're different. It's like, if you aren't a carbon copy of everything fake then society won't like you. People don't like you if you're not like everyone else. That just goes to show that people are afraid of what they don't know. And it's sad. Really, it is. This society is really fucked up, and prejudice people like that aren't helping at all. Just people people stick a label on you like emo or goth or punk or rebel or something doesn't mean we all act the same and do destructive things. Yes, some "emo" people do cut. Do all emos cut? No. I know more popular "normal" people that cut than "emo" kids. It's fucking stupid.
