I've just recently figured out the curves tool but for some reason, never thought it could help overexposed photos. I'll have to try it next time I get something overexposed on accident and see what happens.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. My umm.. "unusual" digital camera takes overexposed shots no matter how much I change the settings. Good thing for this tutorial, I'm supposed to take pictures of our school production and I didn't want them to look like they were splattered with random laser beams or something..

I'm fairly new to Photoshop and I want to say thanks for the very easy tute!

thanks for the comment. I'm glad to hear that it was easy to follow. Sucks to hear about your camera, hopefully you'll manage to get some of them to turn out with my tutorial. I suggest practicing with the tools. If you don't get the results you had hoped for, message me, and I'll try to help you out.

Thanks again for the comment. Very helpful

interesting. Thanks for that. I've never used that curves button. I always use image>adjustments>curves.

doing it my way is SOOOO much better, cause then you can adjust the mask, so it only affects the areas you want. oh man, so helpful.

Holy shit! That button is just Image>Adjustments without going to Image>Adjustments! It's the same thing! I never clicked it before!

Very nice and helpful. A lot of the photos from my high school graduation were overexposed, and my mother was very upset because she wanted to share them with the rest of the family. This really helps us a lot - it was very clear and simple (and you get bonus points for using kittens, which are my favorite animal)

I haven't given the tutorial to my mother yet (I'm in college and she lives in an apartment by herself) but as soon as we've tried it, I'll be sure to show you the results
