Well, tough shot. I like the stream. It certainly has visual possibilities. But the winter light and colorlessness makes it all the harder for this image to inspire. It also doesn't make use of he graphic quality of the stream's curves. The drabness of the light in the trees make the image feel bleak and muddy. I did a screen grab of your photo and played with it trying to see if I could come up with anything I might do and be able to suggest to you to improve it. First I turned it into a grayscale image to get around the depressing winter color pallet. That helped but not enough. I sepia toned it and finally cropped into a square to take advantage of the elements that are working in the image. I will email it to you. I think the combination of drab light, bleak winter colors and leafless trees is a lot to overcome. I like this location. There is a photograph there but, perhaps at another time and another season...
