Hi,
Your costumes are awesome. I'd like to make Thresh for my son for the next halloween.
Could you give me more pictures ? Would you have tutorial ?
Thanks.

Thank you! ^.^
I don't have many more photos or tutorials of Thresh because I had made him in an extreme rush before a con! ><
However, most of my armor is done with EVA foam. If you have not worked with it before "Punished Props" usually have great tutorials on it!!
I do a lot of my patterning like Kamui Cosplay shows in this tutorial (But I use packing tape instead of masking tape, just because it's what I have more of lying around! Either works fine!):

The only portion of the Thresh and Kalista costumes that are not EVA foam is the masks. These were done with Worbla and I do have a tutorial for them here:

Some of the most popular questions I get is:
What kind of rope did I use? I used "cotton welting" (or cording), which is often found in the upholstery section of fabric stores. I then used a red dye to get it the right color.
What type of fabric did you use? The fabric is just a regular/cheap broadcloth because they came in the right colors for me!
How did you make the hand? The "spooky" hand is a rubber (fishing) glove that I hot glued pieces of foam "spikes" onto. Then I sprayed the entire glove with red "plasti-dip" and acrylic paints for shading/weathering.
Also a good thing to note when making kids costumes is simplifying or shrinking designs. Examples include: making a 1 meter long rope chain instead of the 3 meters that went into this one! Shrinking the width of the shoulder plates smaller to make it easier for going in and out of doorways!
I hope these little tips will help you get started at least! I'd also love to see pictures when your are all finished!!! ^.^
Good luck, and happy cosplaying!

I have a question, how did you create Thresh's lantern?

The lantern's a bit tricky to explain. The paper lantern I bought from the dollar store, and the rest is is made from EVA foam. I started making a base cylinder with eva and then glued the lantern to that. The roof is a pyramid shape with pieces of pipe insulation glued on each corner. Then I just used more eva foam for details.
Hope this kinda gives you an idea :S
Good luck! ^.^
