I tool a long look at this piece and I have to admit I really like it. The stle of work is very different and yet recognizable. I think its interesting how you used her hair to hide her face but I think that its almost too distracting since you cant see her face but you do see her hand. The textures of this are really well executed and the shadowing is flawless. Great work.

you did a very good job at bringing out the emotion. and expressing it in the lines and contrast.

I love this!!! You are very talented. I can really feel her emotion when I look at this, and the look of her hair blowing in the wind really adds to it.

I like this. it's different than what I'm used to seeing here on deviantart. The paper could be whiter though. It's probably just your camera. It could be fixed easy I bet with some incresed contrast.

I like Stabilo for fine liners generally, but they die really fast, and the tips screw up if you're heavy handed like I am haha... Letraset ones tend to smudge when you rub out your guidelines, unless you wait a good twenty minutes for it to take to the paper before rubbing out... I think it's Stabilo fineliner colours I used to use too, they're really good. But well expensive... Something daft like 21.00 for 16... Bummer... I remember you saying you liked quink ink, but that it was really time consuming XxX

Haha yes I did a quink ink piece for one of my A Level exams. Took a week solid. A3/A2-ish landscape drawing. And I never got it back.. Yeah I get through a lot of Sharpies. I think I need to loosen up with it or actually.. tighten up with it. My work is getting a little too ink crazy I think, I'm not sure. I want to colour them, but I never know what to use. Yeah some people in my course use those, but they look too fiddly for me.

I like Letraset pens, but you have to use a Letraset bleedproof marker pad, cuz otherwise... It bleeds, but really badly. And they're quite expensive, I think I have 30 of them, and it came to £45 if I remember right, but you get a thin end, and a thick end, and they blend really well. Take a bit of getting used to though. If not, try Faber Castell brush tips, Ihave a couple of those, and they're nice to use, and bright too, but they don't do red, which I find weird. Or coloured Sharpie markers, as you're so good with them, I got a set of 15 from Tesco for about £8 I think. *shrug*... Beyond that, I haven't got a clue. I like Berol Fine Tips, and Crayola Felt Tips too, but I think they're probably not professional enough for the kinda stuff you do haha XxX
