Panel from my comic that I will eventually post. eventually. The reason I have yet to post it is due to the terrible typography/script currently in it. I had to save that part for last and, well, after being awake for well over 24 hours after a semester of insomnia it's safe to say it isn't exactly legible lolI will, however, eventually clean it up! Although I was looking through it and really liked it as a silent comic... adding a couple of panels/drawings (which would require a little rearranging) would allow the story to be told entirely through image. I actually rather like that idea.. maybe it's worth a try?
anyway, here's a teaser of the art within.

If you make it a short manga and do it well, you can successfully do one without any script even hinting at being needed. As for insomnia, I feel for you. Last semester I found out just how bad my insomnia can get due to stress. I ended up being awake and unable to sleep for thirty-six hours (maybe a little more) straight. It happened twice that I can remember but thanks to sleep deprivation its really fuzzy.

I really enjoy silent comics, and I think you definitely have the skill to pull one off. c: The perspective and details of this panel look great! The angle and all the sharp, pointy instruments up on the wall give it an ominous feeling, to me.

Go for the wordless comic. I always find those more impressive when they actually get the story across.... or multiple stories as they allow more open of an interpretation to the 'reader'.

I really like the idea of a silent comic. It takes a lot of subtlety to do something totally pantomime, but I think you could do it! Maybe you could do both? Sort of like a compare and contrast thing.
In any case, I look forward to seeing your comic!
And, I've gotta say, the angle on this panel is to die for. I am pea-green with envy.
